Abstract: This paper dealt with the issue of the Arabic language between the duality of identity and development in the Moroccan experience, by questioning contemporary Moroccan educational thought, by invoking visions and perceptions related to the philosophy of reform in general and linguistics. Highlighting that language is not just a neutral transmitter of knowledge that has nothing to do with the transmitted content, but rather is linked organically to the contents it transmits. And that these links between language and identity converge in more than one place, as long as language is an important part of identity and a symbol of national sovereignty, and preserving language is the price of preserving identity. and traditions. The paper concluded that this language has the capabilities that make it able to reconcile the requirements of identity and the challenges of development. It only needs to enable it to play its framing and educational role, and this requires linguistic planning and designing a long-term strategy that works to revive Arabic at all levels, with the involvement of state institutions. and civil society.
